The Dayton Audubon Society's next meeting will feature a slide show and discussion of a recent search for a Harpy Eagle in the remote Darien province of Panama.  Participants stayed in a native village for 5 days, hiked 7 and a half hours (one way), and camped in the rain forest overnight to get a chance to see the eagle in the active nest.   In addition to Harpy photos, many of the 279 species seen by the group will be represented in the slide show.  A large proportion of the shots were taken by a professional photographer, and the quality is amazing.

The public is invited to attend.    Please join us at Wegerzyn Garden Center, 1301 E. Siebenthaler Ave., Dayton, tomorrow evening, April 15.  The meeting begins at 7:00 PM.  Refreshments will be served.  http://www.metroparks.org/Parks/WegerzynGarden/Home.aspx

Members of DAS will receive one entry in a drawing for 1/2 off the price of our 2010 international trip, details of which will be announced at the meeting.  If you are not a member and live in the DAS membership area, you can sign up for one year's free membership at the meeting (and get an entry into the drawing all at the same time!).

If you are interested in seeing some of the photos from the trip but cannot make it to the meeting, check out these websites:

We hope to see you there!
