Jay Abercrombie and I did the trail around Spencer Lake in Medina County yesterday, Friday April 24, 2009. We saw a few birds listed below, but the wildflowers are spectacular- stop and admire if you are in the area. You might want to wear blaze orange- it is turkey season.

Rough-winged swallows
Purple martin
Turkey vultures
Great blue heron
Wood ducks
Mallards
Canada geese
Spotted sandpiper
Red-bellied woodpecker
Yellow-bellied sapsucker- pecking holes and sipping sap
Yellow warblers
American goldfinch
Rufous-sided towhee
Song sparrows
Eastern bluebird
Brown-headed cowbirds
Blue jay
Red-winged black birds
Common grackles
Tufted titmouse
Black-capped chickadees
American robins
Phoebe
