Greg has raised the recurring issue of access to government installations and adjacent areas. In order that this listserv should not get gummed up with this discussion, I have started a thread on the OOS Forum (get there through ohiobirds.org) under General Birding Topics. Look for "Airports, Port Authority, and Bird Watchers."

It seems to me the OOS might serve a useful purpose when rarities visit government installations, and I share some of my thoughts there.
