Chris Bedel got out of his car this morning at 8:15 and heard something
he never heard before. He chased it down just at the edge of the Eulett
Center parking lot at the Edge of Appalachia Preserve office, as I
arrived a few minutes later we saw it was a very cooperative Kirkland's
singing it's heart out. We both viewed it for about 15 minutes from
about 15 feet away, beautiful views. This was a lifer for Chris and
credit goes to him for spotting the distinctive call, which I remembered
from trips up to Michigan. Nice to see him in the neighborhood. What a
way to start the day.
Pete
