Hi all,

The Magee boardwalk is still very active. Some of the
highlights include:

Golden-winged, Hooded, Kentucky, Canada, Wilson's and Orange-crowned Warblers. The
Golden-winged is hanging between 17B and 18B. You can print out Kenn Kaufman’s
boardwalk map at   http://www.bsbo.org/birding/pdf/magee_marsh_boardwalk_map_and_text.pdf

Benton-Carroll Rd. is still producing good numbers of shorebirds. Use extreme caution while parking there. The
police won’t hesitate to make you move if you’re stopped on the road. The best
thing to do is pull as far off the road as you can. Highlights:
Dunlin – XXXX

Short-billed Dowitcher – 4

Least Sandpiper – 2

Greater Yellowlegs – X

Lesser Yellowlegs – XX

American Pipit

Also, during these weather conditions, inland woodlots will
produce good numbers of migrants as well. The new boardwalk system behind the Ottawa NWR
building should be great. I had a Cerulean Warbler there Friday.

See you out there!
