Our ornithology class was able to relocate the previously reported Lark
Sparrow at the Waterman Farm, OSU campus. This time, a pair was present.
It might be worth following this pair to see if there is evidence of
breeding activity.
The Waterman Farm is located at the corner of Kenny Rd. and Lane Ave. in
Columbus. The Lark Sparrows have been seen in the corn field just adjacent
to the woodlot in the northwest corner of the farm. Also check the fence
posts in the nearby turfgrass fields.
