Hi Everyone,

I was downtown this afternoon, and got over to Erie Street Cemetery for a
little while about 4 PM.

When I arrived, I heard several Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers calling, and managed
to get very good looks at one of them.

Within a few minutes, things had quieted down a lot‹the only sounds were
from Robins and Starlings‹otherwise, it was quiet as...well...a cemetery.

Nonetheless, I had some good looks at some birds. The interesting ones (in
addition to the Gnatcatcher) were:

Hooded warbler (2 males, one female)
Common Yellowthroat (one male, walking on the road in front of my parked
car!)
Ovenbird (2)
American Restart (One male, one female)
Chimney Swift (flight of a dozen or 20)
House Finch (1 male)
Chipping Sparrow (several)
Song Sparrow (1)
White-throated Sparrow (quite a few)
White-crowned Sparrow (8-10)
Gray Catbird (half a dozen or so)
House Wren (1)
Eastern Phoebe (1)
Great Crested Flycatcher (1)
Swainson¹s Thrush (1- walking on the road neay the yellowthroat)
Wood Thrush (1)

And perhaps the most unusual thing I saw, one of the Ring-billed Gulls,
presumably from what I think of as the CSU Convocation Center flock, on the
ground in the cemetery (unusual by itself), collecting nesting materials. I
guess that roof needs some softening...

Best wishes,
