On Saturday, as my wife and I were leaving Magee Marsh at about 6:00pm, we had three Sandhill Cranes flying over the marsh on the east side of the causeway. They appeared to be dropping in altitude toward the marsh but we were late and could not stay to watch. While not nearly as exciting as the Kirtland's Warbler that showed up today, I had not yet seen anyone report the cranes on the listserve. For us, it was a fitting end to a great day at the Marsh.

Good birding.
