Julie Karlson and I stopped at Mallard Club Marsh at about 6:30 this
morning for a few minutes. We parked at the west parking lot and walked
to the first dike and then east about 150 yards or a little more. The
impoundment is full of cattails and we heard several Marsh Wrens and
Swamp Sparrows. Then we heard a Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow sing a few
times. We didn't see the bird though.
