Greetings,

I had a great day at Magee...for me. Met some great people, saw friends from before, and ran into a couple of people from another forum that I belong to, and of course there were lots of great opportunities to take pictures of tiny little birds. :-) Females seemed to be the birds of the day, there seemed to be more females to males with almost everyone mentioned below a two to one of females to males.

I also uttered words I never thought that I would utter: Oh, another Canada", followed shortly by "Oh, another Parula." :-)

Redstarts, Chestnut Sided, Common Yellowthroat, and Bay Breasted were plentiful. With plenty of both males and females.

I had one or two Yellow, Black and White, and the resident Prothonotory Warblers putting on a great show.

With Ovenbird, Cape May, Black Throated Blue (M/F), Yellow Rumps, and Blackpoll finishing the warbler viewing list.

I was able to view Warbling Vireos real close and Swanson Thrushes, as well as the mutant White Throated Sparrow. As I was walking around the outside of the boardwalk(B side), a Lincoln Sparrow "allowed" us to view it bath and dry itself off. Even though it was tempting, I refrained from chasing the Kirtland's, that would have to be for another year. ;-) There were others heard but not seen.

That's about it.

Happy Birding and God bless.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
