I meant to post this last night but I was without internet service most of
the evening. When I finallly figured out the problem, I forgot to post it.

On Thursday evening when I got home, a quick glance at my finch sock told
me there was a hungry goldfinch eating Nyjer seed. A closer look told me
that it was not a goldfinch at all. It was a pine siskin.

That was only the second time I've ever seen a pine siskin on my finch
sock. I was surprised to see it here so late in the year.
