To all those on the Magee Marsh boardwalk who, while searching for a Hooded Warbler that had been seen earlier, heard me tell my friend Robin Tener, "There's the hooded, Robin!" and then heard one birder promptly reply "A hooded robin?!  I've never heard of a hooded robin!":

I just had to look.  There IS a Hooded Robin, but you would have to travel to Australia to see it.  For a photo and information on this bird, see http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/finder/display.cfm?id=301

Thanks to all who saw the humor in the exchange.  I promise that in the future I'll make my commas more pronounced when I speak to Robin when we're birding.  Luckily I don't have any birding friends named Chickadee or Sparrow.
