Mark Garland from Cape May New Jersey stopped at the Magee Marsh Boardwalk
early this morning before the rains came. Here is what he saw.

Boardwalk Warblers
1. Yellow - everywhere!
2. Chestnut-sided - a few
3. Magnolia - several
4. Black-throated Blue - a few
5. Black-throated Green - 1 bird molting
6. Blackpoll - some
7. American Redstart - some
8. Prothonotary - several
9. N. Waterthrush - 2
10. Kentucky - seen yesterday by a birder
11. C. Yellowthroat - a few
12. Wilson's - double digit numbers 12 or more
13. Canada - 1 bird

Other birds seen at Magee Marsh today
A. Wood Ducks
1. Great Egrets
2. Snowy Egrets - Mark saw 5
3. Green Heron
4. Black-crowned Night Heron
5. Bald Eagle
6. Forster's Terns
7. Yellow-billed Cuckoo
8. Downy Woodpecker
9. N. Flicker
10. Eastern Wood Pewee
11. Yellow-bellied Flycatcher
12. Alder Flycatcher
13. Willow Flycatcher
14. Eastern Phoebe
15. Great-crested Flycatcher
16. Eastern Kingbird
17. Warbling Vireo
18. Red-eyed Vireo
19. Blue jay - only 2 now
20. House Wren - all over the place

21. Marsh Wrens - heard in the marsh
22. Blue-gray Gnatcatchers - probably nesting this year
23. Gray-cheeked Thrush
24. Swainson's Thrush
25. American Robin
26. Gray Catbirds
27. Brown Thrasher - walking trail near bird center
28. Cedar Waxwings
29. Savannah Sparrow
30. Song Sparrow
31. Swamp Sparrow
32. Rose-breasted Grosbeak
33. Baltimore Orioles
34. Plus the usual blackbirds
