Sunday while out riding my horse along the Chagrin River, I saw 2 eagles circling ahead, one landed in the river and took a good bath, next we saw a kildeer on the ground with her new family of 3 babies.  She immediately went into her defensive mode with the pretend broken wing and led us all around until we were far enough away from the babies.  As we came out of the woods we were treated to a really nice bluebird, the first I've seen this year.  Nothing like those bright blue feathers.  We saw quite a few pairs of Canadian geese but only one pair had babies.  They don't seem to breed like they used to in the past when there were babies everywhere.  I guess less habitat as now we see them nesting along highways and roads in my area.
