Not much of a bird watcher, but I live in 3 areas of woods in North-West Montgomery County (New Lebanon).  This past Tuesday evening, I encountered a Blue Herron in our creek North of the house.  It's the first time I have ever witnessed one in this part of Ohio.  It was a surreal event.
