While Doug Overacker and I were admiring the Willets at Buck Creek State Park (turns out there were 26 of them) Doug told me about a flooded field along Upper Valley Pike near Springfield about 1.4 miles north of SR 41. Most of the good looking habitat is on the east side of the road, but there is also some standing water on the west side. I only had time for a brief look around sunset and saw 9 Dunlin and a few Spotted Sandpipers.
