I chased a "dark tern" which proved to be an adult Black Tern. The bird was flying around a large farm pond about 2 miles northeast of Walnut Creek in Holmes County. The bird showed up this morning (Tues) and was still there at 11:30 am. We rarely have sightings here after early June.

This is the same farm where a White-winged Dove was seen several years ago.
