Sweaty Greetings,

Just on my way to work and I decided to go "the back way" just for fun. (For me every way is the back way.:-) ) Yesterday, it entailed going down Phelps Rd/Township Hwy 308.

I routinely see Horned Larks and sparrows of all kinds on that road. Going to and from the fields. Occasionally I see a Flicker. And Kingfishers and a Heron down by the stream.

But yesterday I saw a Red Headed Wood Pecker feeding a youngin. I don't think that the area has been blocked out yet.
But it is perfect for Woodies, lots of cover and a few dead trees scattered through out.

The exact spot that I found it was here:

For the flora people out there, there is also a great spot for Trillium Grandiflora and Dutchman's Breeches.
They are about 100 yards from the above location, and are located under the high tension wires that are there.

Happy Birding and God Bless

Psalm 103:4-6

4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,

5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

 6 The LORD works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
