I was surveying property along the lakefront this morning right at the
Perry-Painesville border. I had a MERLIN fly from on shore fly out over the
lake to harass an eagle than flew down the lake it bit before flying inland.
Needless to say this is pretty late. I'm guessing it's a non-breeder. The
habitat is good with lots of open fields and lakefront. There were also
three bald eagles flying around in the area.
