Spent the better part of the day poking around the Chagrin River Park in Willoughby (Lake County, near the Lost Nation Airport). I saw many of the usual suspects in good numbers. The days highlight, for me, was a Sedge Wren calling along the north end of the landfill trail. I sat for quite awhile zero-ing in on him for a look-see. After a awhile, there was a short lul in the breeze and the leave noise and I realized there were two calling back and forth. The second bird got loud and alarmed when I got near so I backed out not wanting to upset a probable nesting area.
Later on, along the bike path at the northern end, I heard what I belive to be a third individual. I did not stay long enough to see if there were a pair at this location.
3 Sedge Wrens in one day was a treat for me, as I had never even seen one before!
