An adult female piping plover was found at Conneaut Harbor this morning.
The bird was found by Robert Krajeski. We were able to watch the bird at
close range for quite a while. The bird had color bands on its legs. I
will post a photo later today.

The bird was still present when I left at 11:45, however thunderstorms were
moving into the area. Also present was an American avocet. Other
shorebirds seen this morning were semipalmated plover, killdeer, lesser
yellowlegs, semipalmated sandpiper, least sandpiper, and sanderling.
