After reading Bill's post on the Crows, thought I would pass on a story I was told first hand by a farmer a few yrs. ago.
In the Richmond Dale area. Delorme pg.78 C-3

True Story-

The Crows were always in his corn..and this really, really ticked him off. He wanted to shoot them with the "scattergun"!
But, if he pulled up to the field in his pick-up truck..tried to slip out and take a shot, they always took flight..

If he pulled up..NO Gun..they did not fly away! This really made him mad too! This is the neat part of the story..he shows up with a hoe for cuttin the weeds..holds it like a gun..the Crows DiD Not Fly Away!

Crows are smart alright! They seem to remember any danger to them..and almost always have a guard in the trees watching over the rest as they feed on the ground to sound the alarm.
