I arrived at the spit around 6am and left around 12:45. I've had a
great day with different birds but it took about 4 hours to get what I
did and at any given time there may be only 1 or 2 birds present.

Avocet - 1 (comes and goes)
Semipalmated Plovers - 3
Semipalmated Sandpipers - 7
Least Sandpipers -3
Kllldeer -1
Sandering -2
Greater Yellowlegs - 1
Lesser Yellowlegs -2
Baird's Sandpiper - 1
Whimbrel - 2
Piping Plover - 1 (Same one from yesterday)

I met Gary Tarkington about 10 this morning and while I was trying to
relocate the Baird's he noticed 2 Whimbrels. They left the SW corner
and flew across to the rocks and rested....until 2 people and 3 dogs
walked by.
Around 11:30 2 young men from Youngstown (did not get their names)
spotted the Piping Plover around along the SW edge as you go in.
He was still there as was the Baird's when I left. I had looked all
morning for that Piping Plover and I can't tell you how many white
feathers I chased. Glad he was spotted. When I left the spit was
pretty empty and a beautiful day to be out. I'm downloading images
and will have some postings tonight. I'm headed back out in a little
while.
