Hi Everyone,

About 6 this afternoon we went with friends back to the area of Forest Hill
Park in East Cleveland where you may remember that we say Pileated
Woodpeckers and Hairy Woodpeckers nesting a few weeks ago. We also saw a
Red-headed Woodpecker, which was very good after a few years of not seeing
any in this area.

Today we were thrilled to see two Red-headed fledglings, accompanied by an
adult.

We continue to hear a number of Wood Thrushes, and hear and see Indigo
Bunting (the one pair we see on every trip), Hairy Woodpecker, Flicker,
Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Baltimore Oriole, Great Crested Flycatcher, Song and
Chipping Sparrows. Lots of American Goldfinch (now Spinus t.?) eating
thistle seed and innumerable American Robin adults and fledglings.

A reminder that the path we walked in off the parking lot you can reach off
Forest park Blvd. just north of terrace in East Cleveland.

And another note: on Monday, Beth saw a Bald Eagle flying south over the
Lorain-Carnegie Bridge in Cleveland.

Best wishes,

Steve Cagan
Cleveland Heights
