Dear Ohio Birds,
My friend Pat and I were poking around in and about Killbuck Marsh (and swamp) yesterday evening looking for the sand hill cranes. No luck on cranes, but when we ended up in Wooster for ice cream about 9:30 PM, we saw several nighthawks (perhaps 7) performing aerial maneuvers right over the town square. Earlier we saw a scarlet tanager on Kimmer Road and heard several wood thrushes. Nice evening.
