At North Chagrin Metropark's sunset pond (Cuyahoga-Lake county border) there's been a heron hanging around for about ten days that struck me as soon as I saw it as being different in the way Amy Kramer described the Würdemann's Heron in Montgomery County.  Don't know if this is the variety in question but thought perhaps some of the list members might know.  The neck is definitely much whiter than typical.
