I was out to Prairie Oaks off of Rt. 142 this evening and saw a wading bird I could not recognize. It was in the first major wetlands that has just a small amount of water in it. From my binoculars he looked rather large and had a long beak, but I couldn't make out what he was because he was just too far away. I was just wondering if anyone else happened to be out that way and saw what this creature might have been. Any help would be appreciated.
