Hiked around the wetlands at Slate Run Metro Park this morning. I encountered all the usual suspects. I wasn't able to locate the Black Terns though.  I had a great time watching a Sora Rail that was about thirty yards away. It couldn't have cared less if I were there.  The highlight of the morning was a suprise flyover from a pair of Sandhill Cranes.  I thought I had pinpointed the landing zone but no matter how hard I looked I just couldn't find them after they landed.
