Once again the Lowe's on Miles Rd. in Bedford Heights in Cuyahoga County was a good spot for
birds. There's a detention pond visible on the east side of Interstate 271 in front of the Lowe's store
on the south side of Miles. On the way back from a job, I noticed some shorebird silhouettes on the
water. I took a late lunch, drove over there, and saw 2 solitary sandpipers and 3 killdeers feeding and
bathing along with numerous red-winged blackbirds and starlings. You never know where you'll find
something cool.
Best regards, Karen
