I spent the morning focused on migrant traps along the NW shore of Hoover Reservoir, visiting Oxbow Island, Wiese Rd, Area I/Char-Mar Preserve, Mudhen Marsh, and the Sunbury causeway. Water levels are still quite high, so there was little in the way of shorebird habitat. The water level was low enough, however, for decent #s of Herons. Landbird migrants were spotty, with a few mixed flocks at Oxbow & Wiese, but not much elsewhere. Notables included:

Great Egrets - 6-8 were in the shallows near Pelican Island, and were visible from points quite far away.
Green Herons - singles were at Oxbow and Area I, and 2 were at Mudhen
Cormorants - a few were in the northern reaches of the reservoir, but a flock of 60 passed over Mudhen Marsh headed south.
Osprey - single birds were at Oxbow and the Sunbury causeway
Caspian Tern - 6-8 were seen collectively, including several begging youngsters following adults.

Broad-winged Hawk - a likely migrant was being harassed by chickadees along the Wiese Rd access.
Hummingbirds - good #s at every stop, with the highest being 4-5 along Wiese Rd
Olive-sided Flycatcher - a single bird along Wiese Rd, doing what they often do: flycatch from a tall dead snag.
Swallows - flocks of Barn & Tree Swallow were around the shore early, but disappeared as the morning wore on.
Vireos - singing Warblings were at many stops; more unusual was a singing White-eyed along Wiese Rd.
Brown Thrasher- good showing by this early migrant, with 1 at Oxbow and 2 along Wiese Rd

Warblers - hard to find. A small flock on Oxbow included Yellow, Magnolia, Black-thr.Blue, and Blackburnian. Wiese added Chesnut-sided, Redstart, and more Magnolias.
Buntings/Grosbeaks - only a single Indigo Bunting, at Mudhen Marsh
Baltimore Orioles - a last surge, with singles at Oxbow, Wiese, and Mudhen
