This AM Bob Powell and I checked Caesar Creek beach for possible stray migrants. What we saw were about 150 Ring-billed Gulls which had been joined by four juveniles along with the surprise sighting of THREE Osprey hunting and flying over the lake. Could this be a local family?

On to Cowan where we saw 1 Spotted Sandpiper on the spillway and about 25 Ring-bills
with another juvenile among them on the beach. Obviously the main shorebird migration has not yet hit this part of Ohio.

Summer Day Cheers, Larry Gara
