Hi,

I took a walk with my two kids Saturday morning at the Honda Wetlands area
of Glacier Ridge Metro Park, northwest of Columbus. I was able to relocate
2 Sedge Wrens, which I assume are the same birds I saw/heard on July 4th.
This time, however, I saw and heard one bird singing about 50 yards away to
the south of the education pavilion, and the other bird was singing quite
ostensibly just west of the boardwalk (same place he's been seen for the
past several weeks). I wonder if the bird singing south of the pavilion is
another male with another mate and nest?

Other interesting birds I found at this location include:

Grasshopper Sparrows (2, heard)
Field Sparrows (8-10)
Song Sparrows (3)
Least Sandpipers (4)
Solitary Sandpipers (4)
Killdeer (3)
Barn Swallows (about 80-100 total, including 50 at the pavilion)
Cliff Swallows (2)
Tree Swallows (2)
Purple Martin (1)
Willow Flycatchers (3)
Eastern Kingbirds (8)
House Wren (1)
Hairy Woodpecker (2)
Red-tailed Hawks (2)
Turkey Vultures (3)

I'm leaving this week for a month-long assignment in Florida, so I'm hoping
to rack up a bunch more cool birds for the year!

Good birding,
Nate Nye
