Conducted the monthly census this morning with Pat Hayes.  Very warm
and quiet on the island.  Lots of people!  Pied-billed Grebe was a new
species for an August census.  A total of 114 species have been
observed on the August census over 12 years.  The 12 year average for
species is 63 and for total individuals is 3176.  This year was short
on both.
