I had an interesting mixed group of turkeys in my yard this morning ~7AM. There was one female,
one male, 6 young of ~10" length and one young ~14" in length. By the looks of the male's tail, I'm
thinking he was a jake. Do young males hang out with the group to get in the female's good graces
for next year? As for the two different sized young, I'm wondering if the larger one was an orphan
that joined the group. Any thoughts on what I saw?
Thanks, Karen
