One half mile south of Aquilla Wildlife Area on Aquilla rd. on the East side of the road in a small horse or cow field is a pair of Adult Sandhill Cranes with a juvenile. I was able to view them for awhile around 4pm and they showed no desire to move off. They should still be there. The juvenile kept dozing off, so my guess is they are resting.
This area is about 3 miles southeast of downtown Chardon. (I'm sorry, the Delorme is out in the car)
