I made an afternoon trip to Berlin Res. today. There are nice mudflats at the SW end of the lake. I parked at the small rough gravel parking area beside the little bridge on Greenbower Rd. and walked NE along the shore to view the flats. There were a few birds around the Price St. bridge also. Highlights were double-crested cormorants, 6 great egrets, 2 semipalmated plovers, 22 lesser yellowlegs, 2 solitary sandpipers, 10 semipalmated sandpipers, 30 least sandpipers, 10 pectoral sandpipers, and tree swallows. Later, Craig
