Yesterday 9/20 I checked out Berlin Res. in Stark Co.  There are good mudflats around the Rte. 225 bridge there now.  Present were 10 great egrets, red-shouldered hawk, Am. golden-plover, 2 semipalmated plovers, killdeers, lesser yellowlegs, solitary sandpiper, least sandpipers, pectoral sandpipers, juv. short-billed dowitcher, chimney swifts, tree swallows, and barn swallows.  I took a look at L. Milton, the water is still high there.  Next I went to West Branch SP (at Rte. 14 & Knapp Rd.) in Portage Co.; as usual there was plenty of good-looking shorebird habitat but nothing but killdeers around.  On the way home, I estimated 80+ double-crested cormorants at Meander Res. (visible from the I-76 bridge at 55 mph).  This morning I checked out some local patches in Poland/Coitsville Twps. here in Mahoning Co.  and found Am. kestrel, e. wood-pewee, 2 e. phoebes, e. bluebirds, cedar waxwings, scarlet tanager, swamp sparrow, and Lincoln's sparrow.
 Later, Craig
