We made a repeat visit to the Yoder farm this morning about 10AM. There were eight birders present who had not yet been successful; the Northern Wheatear was no where to be found; fortunately for us, we had been in attendance with the Sunday group. If the Wheatear has happened to move on, in the four days it was present, according to the guest sign-in log, a remarkable 581 visitors got to see it, (how many did not sign the book?), represented by the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Michigan, Indiana, and South Carolina. The list is a who's who of birders from Ohio and surrounding areas! The following is a breakdown of visitors for the four days:

Saturday 9/12 (207)
Sunday 9/13 (135)
Monday 9/14 (154)
Tuesday 9/15 (85)

Of note: At the time of this posting Robert Hershberger on the Bobolink Rare Bird Alert reported that about a total of forty birders were unable to locate the Wheatear today.
Including todays visitors this would mean that the Emery Yoder Family hosted well over 620 people in the past five days at their residence!
Many thanks to them!!!!

Bob and Denise Lane
