We have a couple very reliable E. Collared Doves in Western Ohio. In Celina there are probably about 3-4 pairs, but the most regular ones are at the grain elevator on the west side of town. Also, Logan County had a pair this year about a half mile south of SR 274 on SR235. Thes birds have been present all summer and had three young in July. I have seen lately two birds there sitting on the wires along 235 in front of Indian Lake High School, or on the back stop of the softball diamond along the road. Other towns where I have seen them, though not regularly are: Bellefontaine, Greenville, Buckland, Wapakoneta, and Eaton. I think a lot of towns in Western Ohio probably have a pair, but they can be very tough to find even when you know where they are. I have seen as many as 25 at one time in Celina in December, so I think they flock up in the winter. This might be the best time of year to look for them. In ten years, they will be in almost every town West of Columbus. That's my prediction....

Have good one,

Troy
