Just FYI -

The last official word was that the road in to Magee Marsh Wildlife Area was
going to be closed for construction work today and tomorrow, Sept. 21-22.
There hasn't been any formal announcement to the contrary, but as of right
now (12:45 pm on Sept. 21) the road is open all the way back to the
boardwalk, with no sign of any closure. Presumably the road may be closed
sometime in the near future, but there isn't any official word on when that
might be. At any rate, if you're birding in the area and get this message
and you want to sample the birdlife at this famous site, for the moment the
road is open. If you're planning a trip later, double-check before you
drive a long distance to get here, or have alternate sites in mind just in
case the road is closed.
