There was a fairly good push of migrants at Hoover dam this morning. I spent a couple of hours, partly in the rain, nosing around the Hoover Nature trail and the nearby disc golf course, with good success at finding migrants. Particularly good was the small restored prairie along the HNT; the edges here held 12 different kinds of warblers plus assorted other migrants. The white pine plantation in the disc golf course was also quite good. Notables included:

Flycatchers - 1 Pewee, 1 Phoebe, and 1 Yellow-bellied, all around the disc golf course edge

Vireos - 1 Philadelphia and 3 Blue-headed Vireos, all around the white pine patch.

Wrens,Kinglets,Creeper - 2 House Wrens & 2 Winter Wrens enlivened the edge of the prairie, while 6+ Ruby-crowned Kinglets were scattered between several sites. The FOS Brown Creeper was climbing trunks in the White pine plantation.

Thrushes - still lots of Swainson's, with over 12 for the morning. The lone Gray-cheeked was in the white pine patch, while another late Wood Thrush was on the edge of a nearby ravine

Mimids - good #s of Catbirds, especially around the restored prairie. It also held 2 Brown Thrashers, while another Thrasher was lurking around the Disc Course

Warblers - 15 species: Parula (2), Nashville (5), Tenn.(4), Magnolia (8), Chesnut-sided (2), Black-thr.Green (5), Blackburnian, Blackpoll (3), Bay-breasted (5), Yellow-rumped, Black&White (2), Redstart (5), Ovenbird, Hooded, Com.Yellowthroat, along with some 20-25 that weren't IDed

Others - a female Summer Tanager was feeding around the prairie edge, as were 1-2 Rose-br.Grosbeaks
