Lorain Impoundment hosted a good variety of warblers this morning, with 13 sp. - including an obliging MOURNING and Canada. Also interesting were singing Least Flycatcher and Black-throated Blue Warbler. The impoundment itself is bone dry, but looks good for sparrows in the coming weeks.

On to Pickerel, where teal/goose season is in full effect. Just a smattering of shorebirds were observed north of the observation platform, all common species, though the habitat looks especially good for Buff-breasted at the moment, as do several mown fields in the area.

Willow Point WA seems to have attracted some of the birds that left Pickerel. 31 juv. Stilts were a highlight, and a single Dunlin was present here.

Good birding -
Gabe Leidy
