Thanks to all five who emailed me with confirmation
that my sighting was, in fact, an Osprey.

This individual circled for a while, then drifted
over towards the Scioto River and  O'Shaughnessy
dam and I lost sight of it. I never got to watch
it dive for food, but I'll be keeping an eye out
for it again.
