A juv. curlew sandpiper spent a few minutes at Conneaut today around 12:30 PM.  It flew off from the muddy pool towards the lakeshore with a couple other shorebirds, and was not relocated over the next 5 hours.  Also there were wood duck, 2 Am. wigeon, hooded merganser, pied-billed grebe, 2 great egrets, 4 black-crowned night-herons, bald eagle, Cooper's hawk, black-bellied plover (FOS juv.), 15 semipalmated plovers, willet, greater and lesser yellowlegs, red knot, 10 sanderlings, 18 semipalmated sandpipers, 11 least sandpipers, ad. white-rumped sandpiper (w/an injured wing), 3 pectoral sandpipers, 2 short-billed dowitchers, great black-backed gull, Caspian terns, and belted kingfisher.  Later, Craig
