It was a slow morning for migrants at the southern end of Alum Lake.  No waterfowl or big flocks of blackbirds or tree swallows yet.  Flyovers at New Galena were subdued: Blue Jays have dwindled down to about 10-12/hour, and I only had a few small flocks of Robins and Cedar Waxwings, as well as 2-3 E.Bluebirds.  A hike around the trails at New Galena found small #s of sparrows (Song, Chipping, White-throated predominating), as well as 1 late Catbird, 1-2 Nashville Warblers, and 4-5 Yellow-rumps.  The beach held a reduced flock of 120 Ring-bills and 2-3 Herring Gulls.
