To reach Headlands Beach SP, take the Rt. 44 exit from S.R. 2, and head north. Rt. 44 deadends into Headlands Beach SP, and head to the east end of the park. Park in the easternmost parking area, and walk northeast to hit the dunes area. It was here the bird was observed during the afternoon before its departure, and then later in the evening hours.

If the bird is not found here, a check of the parking lot/beach areas, which feature somewhat similar habitat would be in order. It was this direction that the bird headed in earlier, when it could not be refound.

Best of luck to all seekers -
