I took a trip through the lovely oranges, greens, and reds of the autumnal hills today to see a small intrepid bird of similar hue. The bird was lit up brilliantly by the evening sun. The hosts were kind and welcoming and have a lovely yard in which to view the adult male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD. Good luck if you go. Here is the original post from Su Snyder: The hosts are the Jacob Kanagy family at 2815 Centerville Road, Shreve. They are the first house on the right after you enter the lane. You can park in the space in front of the house, just past their driveway. The feeder is on the left side of the house--you should be able to see it from your vehicle. Birders are welcome. - the Centerville road is also labeled Wayne co. rd. 1.
