Wendy Park was the field trip spot today for Western Cuyahoga Audubon. Most
of the activity was in the brush and trees up against the Lake Erie shore by
the causeway to the old Coast Guard station. That was where we saw and heard
the Winter Wren. There was a pair of American Kestrels by the railroad
tracks, perched obligingly on the wires. Three of us stayed for a bit longer
to explore the woods at the center of Wendy Park, and added beautifully
marked male American Redstart to the group's list.
