Just a few moments ago there was a Lincoln's sparrow out in my back yard
(northern Summit County). Even though I've seen them before, obtaining a
decent photo remains a thorn in my side. Once I'd obtained the camera, the
sparrow had flown away. Here's the thing: next I witnessed a female northern
cardinal moving back and forth from the feeder filled with safflower to a
nearby tree, where she was feeding a young male. This seems really late. He
was really hungry and they paid no mind to the camera.
So, does this seem late to anyone else?

(On an unrelated note, someone was kind enough to reply privately about how
to post photos of the Vermillion Flycatcher, and I lost the email. Ugh.
Sorry about that.)

Renee
