We will be participating in the Big Sit at Buck Creek State Park on Sunday.
We sit at the north end of the lake off Grant Road. From the northernmost
gravel drive off Grant Road walk north under the power lines. There is a
narrow trail leading to lake after you pass the last three cypress trees. We
will try to mark the trail somehow. You may have to go up Route 4 on the
west side of the lake and then turn east on Moorefield Road and south on
Grant Road to reach the area. A bridge on Old Columbus Road was out last
weekend and I think it will still be closed. The bridge on Redmond Road is
also out. We hope the lake level retreats a little this week to expose some
mudflats. So far we have just seen Killdeer on the small area exposed.
